Omar Sheika vs. Demetrius
Jenkins
Omar is a banger. A former USA TNF just for starters opener, he has a propensity to start
quick and end quick. Can't find much data . . .err ANY data on Demetrius. Can you say
tomato can? Another easy KO for Omar.

Golden Johnson vs. Miguel Arrozal
Golden had a pretty good run against Shane Mosely, considering not many have. He's bounced
back since that loss with a 3rd round stoppage of Eduardo Martinez last Apr. Miguel is on
a losing streak, and with the help of Golden . . .will continue down that path.
Golden will open fast, and stop Miguel quick.

Carlos Gonzalez vs. Randall Bailey
Carlos won the WBO Junior Welterweight Championship in May of 98 with a ninth-round
technical knockout of Giovanni Parisi, after losing to him in a controversial split
decision. Carlos (for as skinny as he is) has tremendous power, but questionable stamina
and chin. Bailey is a BANGER with ALL 18 wins coming by way of KO. But all matters
considering, that makes for little round experience. This is going to be a bruiser. If
Carlos hasn't been being the party boy he's renowned for, I see him going the distance in
a slugfest.

Henry Akinwande vs. Najee Shaeed
I've always thought Henry would be a major force in the heavyweight division. He is a
mammoth of a man, at 6' 7", and a 86" reach!! He stopped Jeremy Williams cold in
the 3rd round in June of 1996 to win the WBO Heavyweight Title, and defended the title
twice. Najee is an up and coming boxer from Brockton Mass., who wants to follow in the
footsteps of his native brothers Hagler and Marciano. Najee has an unimpressive record of
18-1-2, 8 KOs. No big KO artist.Shaeed's only loss comes via first round stoppage in his
only title bid, and he fought to a draw in his last outing. Expect Henry to take him into
the later rounds, then stop him.

Luisito Espinoza vs. Cesar Soto
I have always admired Luisito's guts and determination. Not just because he's a Flip, but
because he gives his all in damn near every fight he's in. I was MOST impressed when he
stopped Kennedy McKinney in the 2nd round last Nov. Cesar Soto is a club fighter who's
been around the block a few times. We'll use a common opponent both have fought to gauge
this fight. Carlos Rios. Last Sep., Cesar fought and beat Carlos in 10 rounds. The Dec
before that, Luisto fought and STOPPED Carlos in 6.
This one will also prove to a slugfest from beginning to end. Oh . . . did I mention
Luisto has already beat Soto by Unanimous Decision in July 96? Anything's possible in this
bout, except Soto winning.

Konstantin Tszyu vs. Miguel Angel Gonzalez
Remember Miguel? He's the one who moused up Oscar De La Hoya's eye and had him back
peddling for the last 3 rounds of their bout. Tszyu is a Russian transplant who has put on
many spectacular fights. This is the most balanced card this week-end, and is a hard one
to call. Both have international experience, and they have common opponents. Most expect
Tszyu to win easily. I don't see it that way. I see an all out war through early and mid
rounds, and Miguel to win by Decision after they both get off the canvas a few times.
